Week of November 2 Standards: 8.3.6, 8.3.8, 8.3.9 Big Ideas: adaptations
Monday~ Class will begin with a discussion about bat adaptations. Students will take part in an activity that shows how similarities between themselves and bats. They should complete the data sheet and add 10 facts about bats to the sheet for next class.
Tuesday~ We will watch a short video clip on bats in class. Students will begin to work on a flyer about some aspect of bats. They will uses the app of their choice to create a public service announcement about bats that can be shared with others educating them on some aspect of a bat's life, adaptations, bats native to Indiana, diseases in bat populations, different species of bats, etc.
Wednesday~ Students will work on public service announcements.
Thursday~ We will work on our seasons project in the outdoor lab. Students should be prepared to go outdoors.
Friday~ Students will complete a comparison activity between themselves and another organism. Remaining time can be used to complete public service announcements. These will be presented in class on Monday.
